Do not buy if u wanna watch DVDs

Does not play DVDs at all. Tried different DVDs and nothing. I downloaded the disc that came with it and couldnt play my DVDs This is a piece of crap I BOUGHT IT TO PLAY MY DVDs and u broke my heart...No Monkey Magic for me I guess. Lower yor heads in shame LG....AND TASTE MY MONKEY WRATH U SHAMELESS DVD DENYING BASTADS I will return this useless piece of technology to the retailer along with a few choice words of loathing and disrespect at the blatant lies thrust upon innocent consumers who would otherwise purchase this filth without my untold knowledge on this subject GOOD DAY AND GOODBYE

I would have given it no stars if I could have All mine ever did was reck my dvd s It recked 2 of my MASH DVDS and they arent cheap to buy It is a piece of CRAP I wouldnt buy another one from lg ever again

The box says it contains Power2Go DVD burner software. It does not. LG support says it has a 30 day trial version which is not mention on the box .In any case it doesnt even have the free trial. It does have DVD player software which is great if you want to see more ads.

This drive is working much better than my previous drive but it has only been in use several weeks. It is a complex mechanical item. The real telling is in long term. LG should ask me in a year about how it has lasted.

Directions: none. Did it work? not on a MacBook Pro despite trying all 4 ports and 3 adapters known to function. Support online? nonexistent. conclusion: if it were wedge shaped it might make a door stop. Otherwise useless.

Good external little writer and player for laptops with no DVD. The software wont allow me to play certain commercial DVDs. Unit feels flimsy.
